WHY AT BOURNVILLE ?
In fact our 1st Brummie Contra was held at Bournville's Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Hall -
Bob Morgan called, Recursion were our musicians (the other duo in Contra-Alt-Delete).
But we still have reluctantly to find somewhere away from our usual venue, just because the Elmdon Heath hall has previously been left empty on Bank Holidays.
It seems this must continue, despite the inconvenience to we very regular hirers and users. -
***
"On the door" you used to meet Barry. I will miss Barry as a true friend.
He has given great help and support to Brummie Contras.
I sadly acknowledge on a page here, his death due to cardiac failure in February.
It is characteristic of Barry's helpful efficiency that arrangements to book the Quaker Meeting House (and an alternative) have all been in place since January.
